Windows XP with service pack 2 should have a minimum of 512mb of memory.


Windows Vista should have a minimum of 1gb of memory.


If you are using or are thinking of upgrading to Microsoft Office 2007 your computer should have a minimum of 1gb of memory.


If you are using or are thinking of upgrading to Quick books 2007, 2008 your computer should have a minimum of 1gb of memory.


Your operating system comes with a host of tools and programs that will help YOU keep your computer running faster.


Windows XP and Windows Vista comes with a built in backup program.... ntbackup.exe


You can use msconfig to help speed up your computer.


By using the buttons ctrl+alt+del you can start the Windows Task Manager and verify how many programs you are running at ANY given time.


Downloading most FREE screen savers, computer scanning, system repair, performance enhancing software, may do more damage than good to your operating system.


When Surfing ( searching ) the internet don't fall for those fake enticements to clean your computer for free.


When installing FREE software do a google search and read reports and ratings for the software you are installing.


When installing FREE software be sure to read the legal jargon and verify you are ONLY installing 1 program and not a host of other spyware/adware programs.


All Versions of Windows come with self help files go to .... Start > Help and Support.


Nearly all programs have their own help files.

Open the program, at the top of the page you will see....File Edit View ...Help
